At Warwickshire Therapy we understand that Counselling can be daunting and difficult, with that in mind we thought it may help if we answer some of the more frequently asked questions about Counselling. At Warwickshire Therapy we are committed and want to make people as comfortable as we can, so if you do have questions that we have not answered please contact us and we will be happy to answer any question you may have.

How much does
Counselling cost at Warwickshire Therapy and how I can pay?

Individual Session cost £65 for 50 minutes. Couples sessions cost £90 and last for 60 minutes.

Warwickshire Therapy require payment in advance.  This is done via BACS when booking the first session.  Payment thereafter is required at least 48 hours before the session.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an assessment session, the counsellor will complete the assessment form and go through the contract. Person Centred Therapy works on a relational level, as discussed earlier. The assessment session is a two-way process for both client and psychotherapist to see if they able to work together. If you decide that you would like to work with the psychotherapist, depending on availability then we can arrange a day and time that works for both of us. What happens if I can’t make my session?

Warwickshire Therapy operate a 48 hour notice period, if sessions are cancelled within that time the full fee becomes payable. Please call Warwickshire Therapy on 07732054126 If you wish to rearrange your session. This is explained further in the contract which can be found here.

How many sessions will I need?

Each individual in unique and therefore sessions are tailored to your needs, sessions last 50 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples. and are usually attended weekly. However, nearing the end of therapy and in certain circumstances fortnightly sessions can be discussed. We can work to a fixed number of sessions if you wish, with a review in the middle. This is usually between 6 and 8 sessions. You may wish to work on the basis that the therapy is open ended so you have the time and space to work on a variety of issues at a deeper meaning fill level. Within keeping with in the Person Centred approach the decision is very much with you the client and can be reviewed at any point.

Future session are led by you, the client, this is your journey. Warwickshire Therapy psychotherapist aim to offer an safe, non-judgmental, confidential space allowing you to go in the direction and make the changes you may wish to make. We are not there to give you the answers or solve your problems.
